With a brand new manager warming his chair at the Bernabeu, Rafa Benitez’s Real Madrid have this morning unveiled the kit they’ll be playing their home games in for the 2015/16 season and as if being in charge of one of the biggest clubs in the history of the game wasn’t pressure enough, its message is ‘only perfect counts’.

The club of Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale and James Rodriguez, Real Madrid are more than capable of perfection and with the club’s mantra of winning not being enough, but every victory being perfect, the brilliant white of the new home strip has been designed to sparkle under the Champions League and La Liga lights as the club chase honours on all fronts next season.

Real’s essential white has been combined with silver grey in the three stripes of the shirt, with the white symbolising that each new season is a blank canvas on which to capture success and write a whole new legend. If Madrid were to obsess about their past successes then their kits would be an almost uniquely busy affair, but the club’s constant drive for greatness comes from its belief that each season is a chance to start again, what matters to Los Blancos is the future.

Inside the neck of the home shirt is the club crest with the inscription in the same silver grey of the stripes which reads ‘hala Madrid y nada mas’ meaning ‘Come on Madrid and nothing else,’ a line from the club’s anthem. The shirt features a round neck collar and folded sleeve effect with a different material adding a touch of class, while the crest stands with impact on the white and grey, displaying the traditional colours of the club in a high-density, heat-sealed execution with different textures. The kit’s shorts and socks are white and grey, completing a strip that combines tradition and modern design.
